Jon Arge was born a Taurus during the Age of Aquarius in Venice, Florida. Excelling in absolutely nothing beyond self-expression, his parents quickly appreciated this as his sole promise and, hoping it might one day all turn out agreeable, constantly did all they could to guide and support him. He has been using imagery to explain himself ever since.
Awarded a scholarship for his senior show in high school, he attended the Savannah College of Art & Design. There he continued to polish his many interests (including arguing with authority and championing his often odd, sometimes difficult, visions) until he was finally asked to leave the school in a gracious, if not a bit short, ceremony.
In 1991 he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where he spent over a decade cultivating a passion for nightclub promotions, fundraising, nonsense, and art. Collected worldwide, his work has found a place with both commercial and private clients while his corporate commissions include IBM, Coca-Cola, and Turner. He has exhibit extensively throughout the South and was one of eleven artists chosen for the 2001 Atlanta Biennial.
